Locksmith prices in Bordeaux & the Gironde

Emergency locksmithing is a regulated activity in France: you are entitled to clear price information before any intervention, and to a detailed quote before any work. Here is how our prices are built.

What French law guarantees you

Home call-out services — including locksmithing — are governed by the French ministerial order of 24 January 2017 on consumer price information. In practice: hourly rates, call-out fees, quote conditions and any surcharges must be communicated to you before the intervention, and a detailed quote must be drawn up and accepted before the work is carried out.

Calling us or sending a form on this site is a contact request — never acceptance of paid work. You remain free to decline the quote presented.

Our pricing conditions

Prices announced on your first call

Pricing conditions (labour, call-out fee, any surcharges) are announced by phone on first contact, then set out in the written quote presented before any work, as required by the French ministerial order of 24 January 2017. Call 07 81 31 13 95: nothing starts without your agreement on the price.

How the final price is built

The cost of an intervention is made up of labour, any parts replaced (cylinder, lock, strike plate…), travel costs and, where applicable, surcharges linked to the timing. Each item appears separately on the quote, then on the invoice you receive.

Two seemingly identical situations can lead to different amounts: a slammed door with a basic cylinder and a deadlocked high-security multipoint lock require neither the same time nor the same parts. That is exactly why the on-site quote, before any work, is the only serious basis for commitment.

Frequently asked questions about prices

Is the quote free?

The conditions of the quote (free or chargeable, depending on the case) are stated at first contact, before any travel. Nothing can be billed without you having been informed beforehand.

Can the price announced on the phone change?

The phone estimate is based on your description. The final amount is the one in the written quote drawn up on site after examining the door and the lock — that document, which you sign before work begins, is what counts. If reality differs from the description (high-security lock, reinforced door), the quote explains it line by line before you decide.

What makes a locksmith intervention more or less expensive?

Mainly: the nature of the problem (slammed or deadlocked door, basic or multipoint lock), the security level of the existing hardware, any parts to replace, and the timing if surcharges apply (night, Sundays, public holidays). The quote itemises each of these.

Can I refuse the quote after the locksmith has travelled?

Yes. A quote only binds you once accepted and signed. Any travel or quote fees, if they exist, must have been announced to you before the locksmith set out.
